Flash Portfolio

I am a professional artist / graphic designer specialising in multimedia and interactive design. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in design from RMIT in Melbourne and have worked within various fields of graphic design, including advertising, broadcast animation, multimedia, and the music industry.

This is my Flash portfolio Website.

Quincy Jones / Sammy Nestico Orchestra

This site was produced in 2000 to coincide with the release of the album 'Basie and Beyond' by the Quincy Jones / Sammy Nestico Orchestra . The album is a tribute to the legendary Count Basie and this site features a photographic journal, video clips, downloadable preview tracks, and audio and video commentry by Quincy Jones, Sammy Nestico and musicians from the orchestra. I created this site whilst working for the ArtistOne record label during 2000. The original site is no longer online so the sample provided has been streamlined for portfolio use only. - It does not include links beyond the main site and to the original video and audio content.

Johns Graphics

This site features animation, audio, and interactive navigation, and incorporates an html version for non-flash browsers. This site received the Australian Web Designers.net 'site of the day' award on the 4th June 2003, and continues to receive large volumes of web traffic from around the world. This site has also been linked within numerous education, design, and flash related websites.

Ravi Shankar

I created this website for Ravi Shankar in 2000, whilst working for the ArtistOne record label in San Francisco. Ravi Shankar is a world-renowned musician, guru, and sitar player, iconic in western music culture for his influence on the Beatles and other western musicians.

This site features links to audio previews, Ravi's latest albums, videos, audio and video commentry, photographs, biography, and tour dates. The design of this site has been modified since it was originally created.

Anoushka Shankar

I created this website for Anoushka Shankar daughter of Ravi Shankar in 2000, whilst working for the ArtistOne record label in San Francisco. Anoushka is an extremely talented sitar and piano player, and is also the sister of popular female vocalist 'Nora Jones'. This site was originally designed to have a consistent design theme with the corresponding site that I designed for her father, Ravi Shankar, however the design of the site has been updated since it was originally created.

Joanne Tatham

I created this site for Joanne Tatham in 2003, sub-contracted by McCartney Multimedia in L.A. I was fortunate to meet Ruth McCartney (Paul McCartney's sister, and head of McCartney Multimedia) whilst working for the ArtistOne record label in San Francisco. Joanne Tatham is a jazz vocalist based in L.A. and this website coincides with her album release; 'Making Light'. This site is created almost entirely in flash and features mp3 track previews and downloads, album credits, musician / producer biographies and video samples.

Women Overland

'Eco & Cultural Journeys In Australia.'

Women Overland provides active holidays for those with an appreciation for Australia’s natural and cultural environments. We enjoy getting out into the bush to experience the natural beauty of Australia, and we facilitate exciting, inspirational and fun encounters, travelling in great company.

Portfolio 1999

This is my first flash portfolio and one of my first flash creations, created using Flash 4 in 1999.

The site features an interactive chameleon that eats various bugs and changes color corresponding to the various sections of the site.

Meshell Ndegeocello

I created this website for Meshell Ndegeocello, a soul / R & B musician, in San Francisco in 2000. The site features links to preview audio tracks, video, and internet radio, as well as Meshell's biography, latest tour dates, and previous album releases. This site was produced by the ArtistOne record label in San Francisco, where I was employed as lead designer / flash producer during 2000. The original site is no longer online so the sample provided has been streamlined for portfolio use only. - It does not include links beyond the main site and to the original video and audio content.

Many Faces

I created this website for the Latin/American band; 'Many Faces' in San Francisco 2000. Many faces includes Hore Santana (Santana's brother), and Greg Errico who played in Sly and the Family Stone at Woodstock. For this project I was encouraged towards a surreal / 3d / Aztec design concept and this site was created as a full flash movie.

This site received the Macromedia flash 'Site Of The Day' award and was featured on Macromedia's official website. The original site is no longer active online so the sample provided has been streamlined for portfolio use only.
